Hi friends! How has everybody been doing? Another month has gone by (October literally flew by me) and as we approach the end of the year things are finally starting to slow down a bit. These past few weeks have been really busy for me, and you may have noticed that the blog was one of the things that I had to put aside for a while. However very good things are coming for me, so thanks for hanging in there and for keeping to support this project. Next month will be the 5th blogversary of Geek Q (I know right?!), and I just want to thank each and everyone of you for sharing with me this amazing experience. Nothing would be possible without you, so thanks from the bottom of my heart.
Today I want to talk about a collaboration that my very good friend Alex from the Seattle Gents and I did last month with a clothing company called Mizzen+Main. We partnered up with this brand to try out some of their latest fall collection pieces, in particular their vests and pullovers. Something that really stood out for me right as I received my clothes was the quality of the materials. These fabrics are resistant to wrinkles too, so you don’t have to worry about ironing the shirt every time you’re going to wear it. The clothes are stretchy and very comfortable, which is important because at the end of the day you want to feel and look good in the clothes you’re wearing. We both chose an outfit from this brand, and we shot some pictures in the Redmond Town Center area close to work.
For this collaboration, I decided to wear the Belson charcoal heather vest along with the Malone shirt, both from Mizzen+Main. This look is timeless, but it feels modern because of the details in the vest and the freshness of the shirt. For the pants, I opted to wear my tan chinos from J. Crew, and a pair of leather boots also from the same brand. Alex is wearing the Wooster half zip in grey, and the Archer dress shirt, also from Mizzen+Main. Something really cool is that we both tried the Shirt Finder feature on their website to find the perfect fit for us, and this was extra helpful because with dress shirts you want the fit to be impeccable. ¡Hola amigos! ¿Cómo han estado todos? Un mes más se nos ha ido (octubre literal se me pasó volando) y al aproximarnos al final del año por fin las cosas han empezado a calmarse un poco. Estas últimas semanas he estado bastante ocupado, y como habrán notado el blog fue una de las cosas que tuve que poner de lado un poco. Sin embargo hay muy buenas cosas en puerta para mí, así que gracias por seguirme apoyando en esto. El siguiente mes es el 5to aniversario de Geek Q (¡¿lo pueden creer?!), y quisiera agradecerles a todos y cada uno de ustedes por compartir esta gran experiencia conmigo. Nada sería posible sin su ayuda, así que gracias desde el fondo de mi corazón.
Hoy quiero platicarles sobre una colaboración que mi gran amigo Alex de los Seattle Gents y yo hicimos el mes pasado con una tienda de ropa llamada Mizzen+Main. Hicimos equipo con esta marca para probar algunos de sus artículos más nuevos de la temporada otoñal, en particular sus chalecos y suéteres. Algo que realmente me impactó al recibir mi ropa fue la calidad de los materiales. Estas telas son resistentes a las arrugas, así que no tienes que preocuparte por planchar la camisa cada vez que te la vas a poner. La ropa es bastante elástica y muy cómoda, lo cual es importante ya que al final del día quieres verte y sentirte bien en la ropa que estás vistiendo. Los dos escogimos un outfit de esta marca y tomamos un par de fotos en Redmond Town Center, un área cerca de nuestro trabajo.
Para esta colaboración, decidí ponerme el chaleco Belson en color grafito junto con la camisa Malone, ambos de Mizzen+Main. Este look es clásico, pero se ve moderno por los detalles en el chaleco y por el diseño de la camisa. Para el pantalón, opté por ponerme mis chinos en color café claro de J. Crew, y un par de botas de esa misma marca complementan el atuendo. Por su parte, Alex está vistiendo el suéter Wooster en color gris y la camisa Archer, también de Mizzen+Main. Algo que realmente me gustó es que los dos utilizamos la herramienta Shirt Finder en su página web para encontrar el fit perfecto, esto fue de gran ayuda ya que con una camisa de vestir quieres que te quedé justo a la medida. ¿Qué opinan amigos? ¿Están considerando en probar esta marca?
