Hello my friends! How’s everyone doing? You might remember that last year, I participated in a Cut Studios video here in Seattle, where people tried to guess which outfit belonged to each person. Well, I definitely didn’t learn the lesson back then, so when the Cut Studios folks contacted me again to participate in another video, I was eager to say yes! So I did! Today I’m really happy to present you with the second video content on the blog. This video is already going viral guys. It feels weird to be watched by almost 6 million people (last video has 10 million views and counting!) but it is also good when you can just show yourself to the world as you are and sometimes even share a message.
The idea behind this video is “How Attractive Am I?” or basically, strangers rate strangers based on their physical appearance. I still don’t really understand how I agreed to this concept (I mean, I really didn’t take it too seriously, but some people on the Internet definitely have). I think that my reasoning behind participating in this video was that regardless of what other people think about us, we are all beautiful and attractive in our own unique and special ways. Some people might be really into a certain archetype of beauty, however, attractiveness is subjective and in the end, it all depends on who’s watching and whether they deem you attractive or not doesn’t really say much about who you are as a person and how you treat other people. ¡Hola amigos míos! ¿Cómo les está yendo? Podrán recordar que el año pasado, participé en un video de Cut Studios aquí en Seattle, dónde un grupo de personas estaba intentando adivinar qué atuendo pertenecía a qué persona. Bueno, definitivamente no aprendí la lección esa vez, ya que cuando la gente de Cut Studios me volvió a contactar para participar en otro video, sin dudarlo dije que sí. ¡Y aquí tienen el resultado! Hoy me encuentro muy feliz de poder compartirles el segundo contenido en video del blog. Este video realmente se está volviendo viral. Se siente extraño el ser visto por casi 6 millones de personas (¡el video anterior tiene 10 millones de vistas y contando!) pero también se siente bien el poder mostrarte ante el mundo tal y como eres e inclusive algunas veces poder compartir algún mensaje.
La idea detrás de este video es “¿Qué tan atractivo soy?” o, básicamente, extraños calificando a extraños basándose en su apariencia física. Aún no sé como accedí a hacer este concepto (digo, la verdad no me lo tomé muy en serio, pero algunas personas en Internet definitivamente lo hicieron). Yo creo que mi razonamiento para participar en este video fue que sin importar lo que las demás personas piensen de nosotros, en realidad todos somos hermosos y atractivos en nuestra forma única y especial de ser. Algunas personas podrán sentirse más atraídas hacia cierto arquetipo de belleza, sin embargo, qué nos es atractivo es subjetivo y al final, todo depende en quién está mirando y el que te encuentren atractivo o no realmente no dice mucho respecto a quién eres como persona y a cómo tratas a los demás. Los dejaré ver la conclusión del episodio, pero asegúrense de también darle un vistazo al video de entrevistas que hicimos al final, dónde nos preguntaron qué sentimos al hacer este experimento.
