Hello everyone! Happy Thursday (I know, this is usually not the day when I post in the blog but I had a few technical difficulties with the blog on Wednesday). I hope that you are all having a great week so far, and that April started off in the best way possible. One of my favorite blog traditions is going to the Quad in the University of Washington to see the cherry blossoms just as spring hits the Pacific Northwest. I really like the serenity and calmness that these beautiful pink flowers can irradiate, and it is the perfect excuse to take some nice potential profile picture shots surrounded by the amazing pink foliage. This is why when this year my bfferboo Kim suggested that we go to the Quad on an early morning I didn’t hesitate and agreed to do the photoshoot.
If you guys haven’t been here before, you have to know that the University of Washington has one of the most beautiful college campuses I’ve ever been to. It’s architecture is majestic; compounding everything from gorgeous, red brick buildings to gothic, Art Deco, modern construction, and the immense green areas and parks. It’s like a small journey through time and through the history of Seattle itself, and in the heart of it all lies the UW Quad. Every year thousands of people gather around these grounds to witness this wonderful, natural spectacle, and of course, I didn’t want to miss what was deemed to be one of the earliest and largest blooms in recent years.
For my stroll with Kim under pink cherry blossom backgrounds I decided that I was going to try and match the surroundings. I opted for a very light pink blazer from Zara along with a floral button-up from Abercrombie and Fitch. For the pants, I went for a bright, hot pink pair of chinos from Bonobos and I tied everything together with some sunglasses from Ted Baker. Finally, for the shoes I wore my water-proof chukka boots from Sperry Topsider. Both Kim and I enjoyed a not-so-busy in-between class periods moment and that’s when we took most of the pictures. Well my friends, with that I will say goodbye for today. This weekend is the one I’ve been waiting for the whole year: Coachella Weekend! I’m super excited for flying back to Palm Springs and enjoy some amazing music, sunny weather, pretty outfits, and everything that involves being at Coachella. I will be doing a lot of video content with my new Osmo device, so make sure you stay posted to my Instagram Stories and to my Facebook page. Then, when I come back I have a few events with the Seattle Gents (we’ve been very active this start of the month and we plan to continue that way) so expect a lot of surprises (and thank you to everyone that participated in the giveaway!). ¡Hola a todos! ¡Feliz jueves (lo sé, usualmente este no es el día en que hago un post en mi blog pero el miércoles tuve algunas pequeñas dificultades técnicas). Espero que todos hayan tenido una excelente semana hasta ahora y que hayan comenzado el mes de abril de la mejor manera. Una de mis tradiciones favoritas para el blog es ir al Quad de la Universidad de Washington para observar los brotes de cereza justo cuando arriba la primavera en el Pacífico Noroeste. Realmente me gusta la serenidad y la calma que estas hermosas flores rosas irradian y, es la excusa perfecta para ir a tomar fotos con potencial de foto de perfil rodeado de este impresionante follaje rosado. Es por esto que este año cuando mi bff Kim sugirió que fuéramos al Quad en una mañana temprano no dude y accedí a hacer la sesión fotográfica.
Si ustedes no han estado aquí antes, tienen que saber que la Universidad de Washington tiene uno de los campus universitarios más bellos que he visto en mi vida. La arquitectura es majestuosa; comprendiendo de todo desde edificios hermosos de ladrillo rojo, a construcción gótica, Art Deco, moderna y una inmensidad de áreas verdes y de parques. Es como un pequeño viaje a través del tiempo y de la historia del mismo Seattle y, en el corazón de todo esto yace el Quad de UW. Cada año, miles de personas se reúnen en este sitio para ser testigos de este asombroso espectáculo natural y, por supuesto, yo no quería perderme del que fue denominado uno de los florecimientos más tempraneros y grandes de los últimos años.
Para mi paseo con Kim bajo cielos llenos de brotes de cereza decidí que iba a tratar de camuflajearme con el ambiente. Opté por vestir un saco en color rosa pálido de Zara junto con una camisa de botones floral de Abercrombie and Fitch. Para los pantalones, me fui por un tono de rosa un poco chillante en estos chinos de Bonobos y traté de darle cohesión a todo el look con unos lentes de sol de Ted Baker. Finalmente, para el calzado me puse mis botines a prueba de agua de Sperry Topsider. Tanto Kim como yo disfrutamos de un período entre clases no tan concurrido y ahí fue cuando tomamos la mayoría de estas fotografías. Así que, ¿qué opinan al respecto? ¿Tienen la oportunidad de disfrutar de los brotes de cereza en su ciudad? Quisiera agradecerle a Kim por haberme tomado estas hermosas fotos y por tomarse el tiempo para hacer la sesión conmigo. ¡Te quiero mucho amiga!
Bueno mis amigos, eso es todo y con eso me despido por hoy. Este fin de semana es el que he estado esperando con más ansias desde el inicio del año: ¡el primer fin de semana de Coachella! Estoy muy emocionado por viajar una vez más a Palm Springs para disfrutar de música increíble, clima soleado, outfits interesantes y todo lo que involucra ir a Coachella. Estaré publicando mucho contenido en vídeo con mi nuevo dispositivo Osmo, así que manténganse al pendiente de mis Instagram Stories y de mi página en Facebook. Luego, regresando tengo un par de eventos con los Seattle Gents (hemos estado dándole con todo en este inicio de mes y planeamos seguir de la misma manera) así que esperen muchas sorpresas (y muchas gracias a todos los que participaron en el giveaway).
