Hello folks! What has everybody been up to? I for once couldn’t be happier because the weather has turned around 360 degrees here in Seattle in the past few days and it now seems that winter is gone for good. It’s been so nice lately, that it might even resemble more like summer right now actually. No rain, temperatures in the 70s and even possibly 80s later this week, beautiful blue skies and sunny weather. That’s even too good for a day in June or July, and we’re getting these awesome tastes of summer during the first week of April. That’s kind of crazy, but I’m loving it. I was already looking forward to my summer tees and this time was the perfect moment to wear them, which is why today I bring you a double collaboration with two brands that I really like: EXPRESS and YaJoe.
I got the chance to team with EXPRESS this time to show you their latest spring and summer essentials from the 1MX collection. You can get the crisp comfort and the sharp style of these really fresh new pieces, which now come in short sleeves for all-temperature wearing occasions. They also come in a wide variety of solid colors, with contrasting collars like the one I wore for this post. Fitted to perfection, the sleeve 1MX shirts are must-haves for your spring and summer wardrobes. You can pair them as I did, with a dark toned pant or black jeans and a blazer if it’s a bit cold outside to get that perfect business casual look, or you can go for a more relaxed style with cuffed jeans. What I really liked about these shirts was the fit and style they have. They have a really nice cut, so they look well even when they are not tucked in your pants, and the contrast between the two colors gives it a very nice, fresh visual quality.
Speaking about the pants I’m wearing in this post, they also come from another collaboration but this time with a local brand called YaJoe. I was invited to their Seattle offices this past week to test some of their products and provide my feedback, and I must say that I was really pleased with their garments. Take for instance this black mech pant, which is one of their top-sellers, which went really well with the casual look of the shirt. The fabric is super comfortable and the 2% spandex gives them that cool, stretch quality without it being too fitted or too tight. What I liked the most about these pants was their attention to detail and functionality: the button is a slide-snap, so you can easily open and close them without any issues, there are two side pockets for putting your phone for instance, which as you can see in these photos makes it really easy to take it out of your pocket even when sitting, and there’s a small loop to put your badge if you decide you’re taking these to work. ¡Hola amigos! ¿Qué han estado haciendo en esta semana? Por mi parte yo no podría estar más contento porque el clima ha dado un giro de 360 grados aquí en Seattle en estos últimos días y parece que ahora sí el invierno se terminó de una vez por todas. Ha estado tan increíble el clima aquí últimamente, que en verdad parecen más como si fueran días de verano que primavera: la ausencia de lluvia, temperaturas que oscilan entre los 21 y posiblemente hasta los 28 grados más adelante esta semana, cielos azules y bastante sol. Eso a veces no lo tenemos ni en junio o en julio, y la naturaleza nos está regalando esta pequeña probada de lo que será el verano desde la primera semana de abril. Es bastante inusual, pero me encanta. Ya lo estaba esperando ansiosamente para poder ponerme mis camisas de verano y este tiempo fue el adecuado para vestirlas, que es la razón por la que hoy les traigo una doble colaboración con dos marcas que realmente me gustan: EXPRESS y YaJoe.
Tuve la oportunidad de colaborar con EXPRESS en esta ocasión para mostrarles sus más recientes esenciales para primavera y verano de la colección 1MX. Pueden ustedes obtener el increíble confort y el destacado estilo de estas nuevas piezas, las cuales vienen en manga corta para poder disfrutar bajo todas las condiciones de temperatura. También vienen en una variedad de colores sólidos, con cuellos en colores contrastantes como la que elegí vestir para este post. Hecha a la medida, las camisas de manga corta de la colección 1MX no pueden faltar en sus guardarropas de primavera y verano. Las pueden combinar, como yo lo hice, con pantalones en color oscuro o negros y con un blázer si está un poco frío afuera para obtener ese look casual perfecto, o pueden irse por un look más relajado con un par de jeans arremangados. Lo que más me gusta de estas camisas es el corte y ajuste que tienen a tu cuerpo. Se ven bien aún cuando las vistes por fuera del pantalón y el contraste de los dos colores le da una calidad visual muy fresca y moderna.
Ahora hablaremos sobre los pantalones que visto en este post, los cuales vienen de otra colaboración, esta vez con una marca local llamada YaJoe. Me invitaron a sus oficinas de Seattle la semana pasada para probar algunos de sus productos y para recibir mi retroalimentación y, debo decir, que quedé realmente sorprendido con sus prendas. Tomemos por ejemplo, este pantalón tipo cargo negro, el cual es uno de sus productos más vendidos, que se ve bastante bien con el look casual de la camisa. La tela con la que están hechos es súper cómoda y el 2% de spandex les da esa calidad stretch sin estar demasiado ajustados o apretados. Lo que más me gustó de estos pantalones es su atención al detalle y a la funcionalidad: el botón es deslizable, lo cuál hace que sea muy sencillo abrirlos y cerrarlos sin problemas, tienen dos bolsillos adicionales laterales para poner tu celular, por ejemplo, como pueden ver en estas fotos es muy fácil meter y sacar el celular aún cuando estás sentado y también tienen un pequeño agujero para que cuelgues tu badge si piensas llevártelos al trabajo. ¿Qué opinan? ¿Quieren ordenar alguno de estos dos artículos?
