Simple in Olive

Hey peeps! What’s up? Today I am writing you from nowhere else than the Le Meridien Delfina Hotel in Santa Monica and I couldn’t be in better company: my bfferboo Kim who invited me on a fabulous recruiting trip to LA and a whole group of amazing new friends that are also here to select the very best and brightest talent for Microsoft. Our day one of activities has already gone by and I must say that I’m super excited about the outcome of this recruiting trip since the kids we’ve talked to and met so far seem to be brilliant. We still have the most important day left but I’m pretty sure we’re going to find great talent here in the city of Angels, I can feel it.

I just want to let you know than in the short period of time we’ve been here we already shot 2 outfits! We definitely brought our A game to this trip in the style department and I can’t wait to share with you the pics that we took. Today I’m bringing you a set of photos we shot a few days ago actually, when Kim and I met for our 1-on-1 photos and boba tea session like we weekly do. We had a total blast, talking about our upcoming recruiting trip of course and planning which outfits we were going to wear. As you can see, I continue my trend of simple, plain-colored garments in my looks, and this time was not an exception to this new rule/trend in my wardrobe.

For this occasion, I decided to wear my olive green shirt from Topman that I bought a few weeks ago during my trip to Vancouver. This color is still one of my favorites, for it’s simplicity and easy vibe and also easiness to mix and match. I wore this shirt with my pair of skinny black jeans also from Topman and my pair of Lacrosse winter weather duck boots from J. Crew. I really like that this look is not complicated at all and it transmits this easy-going, loose vibe that’s very representative of the Pacific Northwest style. What do you guys think? That’s it for the day folks. As I mentioned before, I’m really excited about the outcome of this trip and I also can’t wait to share the outfits we already shot in LA, and probably even more since we still have a few days left in the City of Angels. On Wednesday (when I share this post with you) I will be coming back to Seattle, ready to finish the work week with the best energy and then looking forward to another weekend with friends. ¡Hola gente! ¿Cómo están? El día de hoy les escribo ni más ni menos que desde el hotel Le Meridien Delfina en Santa Monica, y no podría estar en mejor compañía: mi amiga Kim quien me invitó en un viaje de reclutamiento a LA y un nuevo grupo de amigos que también se encuentran aquí para seleccionar el mejor talento para Microsoft. Nuestras actividades del primer día han concluido y debo decir que estoy muy emocionado por ver los resultados de este viaje de reclutamiento ya que los chavos con los que hemos platicado son brillantes. Todavía nos queda el día más importante de actividades en la escuela pero estoy seguro de que encontraremos mucho talento aquí en la ciudad de Los Ángeles, lo puedo presentir.

Pues les platico que en lo poco que llevamos del viaje, ¡ya fotografiamos dos outfits! Definitivamente vinimos con todo a este viaje en términos de estilo y no puedo esperar por compartir con ustedes las fotos que ya hemos tomado. El día de hoy les traigo una sesión de fotografías que tomamos hace un par de días de hecho, cuando Kim y yo nos reunimos para nuestra sesión semanal de fotos 1-a-1 y tapioca, como solemos hacer. Nos la pasamos muy bien, hablando sobre el viaje por supuesto y planeando qué nos íbamos a poner durante este. Como pueden ver, continúa mi tendencia hacia los colores neutros y la ropa simple y lisa, y esta vez no fue la excepción a esta nueva regla/tendencia en mi guardarropa.

En esta ocasión, decidí vestir mi camisa color verde olivo de Topman que compré hace algunas semanas durante mi viaje a Vancouver. Este color sigue siendo uno de mis favoritos por su simplicidad y sencillez que transmite, y por la facilidad de combinarlo con otros colores. Me puse esta camisa con mi par de pantalones de mezclilla skinny negros también de Topman y mi par de botas de invierno Lacrosse que compré en J. Crew. Realmente me gusta que este look no es nada complicado en absoluto y transmite esa vibra sencilla muy representativa del estilo del Pacífico Noroeste. ¿Qué opinan al respecto? Una vez más quisiera agradecerle a mi amiga Kim por tomar estas fotografías en sus escaleras especiales perfectamente bien iluminadas.

Eso va a ser todo por hoy chavos. Como ya antes mencioné, estoy muy emocionado por los resultados que obtendremos en este viaje y también por compartir con ustedes los outfits que ya fotografiamos en LA, y probablemente más ya que aún nos quedan unos días más en la Ciudad de Los Ángeles. El miércoles (que será el día que comparta con ustedes este post) estaré ya de regreso en Seattle, listo para terminar la semana con la mejor de las energías y esperando otro fin de semana con mis amigos.
