Party Like It’s 1989

Hello everybody! Before anything else, I want to THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your incredible support with my last post. You broke viewing records on my blog (which is really something after more than 9 months of blogging) and I just want to say, deeply, from the bottom of my heart, that none of this would be possible without you guys. Keep being such an amazing audience and I’ll keep bringing you the best content I can offer. A few weeks ago I told you on the blog that I was going to Taylor Swift’s concert in Vancouver, BC and lots of you showed great interest in this. The least I can say is that this was definitely the best concert I’ve been to this year, by far.

Taylor has come a long way in less than 10 years; she went up from being a girl-next-door country artist to the incredible pop superstar she’s today. This has brought a great evolution both in her music and in her style. Today I’m sharing with you my photos of the concert, because let’s face it, Taylor is one of the biggest fashion icons right now and her outfits at the concert were nothing less than amazing. I’m going to discuss my favorite 3 outfits, but I would love to hear your ideas and opinions on these looks. I’m sorry for the quality of some of the images but I took them with my phone’s camera, I still hope you can notice all the details.

The first outfit I want to talk about is her opening act look. This combination of crop top and skirt with a rainbow jacket is everything. Her tour is called The 1989 World Tour, and hell yeah does Taylor bring back the 80s with this outfit. The white sunglasses also give a very nice touch that reminds me of soda commercials from the 80s. That takes me to my second favorite look, which is the white shorts with a white strapless. Here once again the “Shake It Off” singer shows off her great sense of style by pairing the boxy, mid-riff shorts with very long, black boots and some lace connecting these two. It looks so chic, modern, and I loved the jeweled lining on top of both pieces, a very classy look. Last but not least, we have my favorite outfit of the whole show. The platinum sequined dress with fringe is just incredible. It shows so much movement and it made the pop songstress sparkle like the big superstar she is. That’s it for now, guys. It was such a great experience seeing her live again after two years (and at exactly the same venue!) and the pit tickets were definitely worth the price. I think I’ve never been so close to an artist at such a big concert before and it felt great. I hope that you liked this post and that you enjoyed it as much as I did, this is the first time I don’t focus on myself and on menswear in the blog but I like the variety (plus I know many of you are big fans of her as well). ¡Hola a todos! Antes de empezar, quisiera decirles a todos GRACIAS, GRACIAS, GRACIAS por el increíble apoyo que me demostraron en el post anterior. Rompieron récords de visitas en mi blog (lo cual no es nada fácil puesto que ya llevo más de 9 meses con él) y sólo quiero decir, desde el fondo de mi corazón, que nada de esto sería posible sin su ayuda. Sigan siendo una audiencia increíble y yo les prometo que les seguiré trayendo el mejor contenido que pueda. Hace unas semanas, les dije por medio del blog que iba a ir al concierto de Taylor Swift en Vancouver, BC y varios de ustedes mostraron gran interés en esto. Lo menos que puedo decir es que definitivamente fue el mejor concierto al que he ido al menos en lo que va de este año. 

Taylor ha llegado muy lejos en los poco menos de 10 años de carrera artística; pasó de ser la chica de al lado que canta country a una increíble superestrella pop hoy en día. Esto ha traído por supuesto una gran evolución tanto en su música como en su estilo personal. El día de hoy, les compartiré mis fotos del concierto, porque tenemos que admitirlo, Taylor se ha convertido en uno de los íconos de la moda más populares de los últimos años y sus outfits del concierto estuvieron a la altura de dicho título. Voy a comentar acerca de mis 3 outfits favoritos, pero me encantaría escuchar su opinión acerca de estos look. Les pido una disculpa por la calidad de algunas de las imágenes, pero es que éstas fueron tomadas con la cámara de mi celular. Aún así espero puedan apreciar todos los detalles.

El primer outfit del que quiero hablar es con el que abrió el show. Esta combinación de top corto con una minifalda y una chamarra de arco iris lo es todo. Su tour se llama The 1989 World Tour, y con toda razón pues Taylor nos trae de vuelta a los 80s con este outfit. Los lentes blancos le dan un muy buen toque que me recuerda a los comerciales de refrescos de esa época. Lo cual me lleva a mi segundo look favorito, el cual es el conjunto de shorts blancos con una blusa tipo strapless blanca. Aquí una vez más la cantante de “Shake It Off” nos muestra su gran sentido de la moda al combinar los shorts altos a la cadera con unas botas negras largas, conectando estas dos piezas con un poco de encaje. Se ve ultra chic y moderno, y me encantó el detalle de joyería en la parte superior de ambas piezas; un look bastante sofisticado. Por último, tenemos mi atuendo favorito de todo el show: el vestido platinado con lentejuelas y tiras que le cuelgan, el cual debo decir que se le veía increíble. Muestra bastante movimiento e hizo que la cantante pop brillara como la superestrella que es. ¿Qué opinan? ¿Cuál de estos es su favorito? Háganmelo saber en la sección de comentarios aquí abajo.

Eso es todo por hoy, chicos. Fue una experiencia inolvidable volver a verla dos años después (¡y en el mismo escenario!) y los boletos de pit definitivamente valieron la pena, creo que nunca había estado tan cerca de un artista en un concierto y se sintió muy bien. Espero que esto les haya gustado y que lo hayan disfrutado tanto como yo lo hice, es la primera vez que no me enfocó en fotos donde yo salgo y en moda masculina en el blog pero me gusta variarle un poco (además de que sé que varios de ustedes también son fans de Taylor). La próxima semana estaremos regresando a mis usuales fotos de outfits y más moda masculina, así que manténganse al pendiente porque aún me queda esa sorpresa que les estoy preparando. Recuerden vestirse con estilo y dejar que los demás escuchen su voz por la forma en la que visten. ¡Nos vemos la próxima vez!
