This year, I had the amazing opportunity once again to attend New York Fashion Week for the second time in my life. You might remember my posts from last year about all the runway shows, parties, panels, and things related to Fashion Week. Well this year, I returned to the fashion mecca of the world to experience some of the latest and greatest collections by the hottest designers in the industry right now, and once again I was able to attend The Shows at the Spring Studios in Tribeca. I spent the whole week in New York City, but I mainly tried to focus on the Fashion Week Shows since last time it was the thing that I enjoyed the most about my whole trip. Once again I stayed at the W Hotel in Times Square, which is becoming one of my favorite places to stay in the Big Apple since it has a great location and it’s very close to the subway stops. Thank you once again W Hotel for an incredible stay! On day 1 of Fashion Week, I went to New York Fashion Week: The Experience, which as you might remember, is an immersive dive into the world of fashion both on-and-off the runway. This time I attended with my sister, and we were both able to enjoy 5 different runway shows! I was super excited that we got to witness the work of 5 different designers, and down below I will talk and explain a little bit about my impressions of each of the collections, so let’s get started!
Our first show of the day was Sally Lapointe, a women’s designer of ready-to-wear fashion from New York City. Sally had already been featured at multiple runway shows, and she launched her collection in July last year. She has quickly acquired lots of love from celebrities, having dressed Jennifer Lawrence, Michelle Obama, Emily Blunt, Kendall Jenner, and Gigi Hadid, among others. That’s why when I saw that she was in our lineup, I knew that we were up to a great start to our day. Lapointe’s clothes focus on the everyday woman of today. She uses bold fabrics and statement pieces to make her models stand out from a crowd of people. Something that I really liked about her design aesthetic is how she layers multiple pieces to give the look more dimension. These pieces could easily be interchanged between one another and it would still look great, so there was a whole lot of cohesion and the clothes told the same story. My favorite outfit was a full pants suit in mint green with a fluffy vest and sleek cigarette pants. Overall, the feel I got from this collection is that it is trying to empower the everyday woman to do anything, and it is giving them a platform to express themselves in their most authentic version. I really, really liked many of the pieces in this collection.
Next in line, we were given the opportunity to see Christian Cowan, an acclaimed young British designer who moved to New York City just two years ago and has already made a name for himself thanks to his signature aesthetic. Christian takes inspiration in his design from music, which means that he wants you to go through a journey when seeing his clothes. He is also of the idea that the real world and the day to day life should be different from creating art, since art should be an escape; he wants to brighten your day with his clothes. I could really sense this feeling of joy and escapism through Christian’s collection. First of all, it featured bold, neon colors in all of the designs, from yellows, to greens, to fuchsias, the whole collection was a rainbow of neon colors. Then we have the hats, which were featured in each of the look. These hats gave it cohesion, but also another fun element to look at. My favorite look was a bright yellow shirt that then turned into a dress. I think that it’s great when designers think outside the box and give us something fresh and unexpected, similar to Jeremy Scott’s space collection last year. I had a lot of fun watching this collection, and the cherry on top of the cake was that I was able to meet Milk and Aquaria, two drag queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race, that were seating just across from us next to the runway.
The following collection that we had the privilege to see was Naeem Khan’s. Khan is one of the biggest names in fashion; some of his fans include Beyoncé, Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Lopez, and Queen Noor of Jordan, and his designs have been featured on movies such as Sex and the City and Dreamgirls. His luxurious homonymous line Naeem Khan consists of sophisticated gowns and impeccably crafted dresses, all embroidered by hand. Khan was born in India, and surrounded by such a colorful, beautiful culture he brought back some of that mysticism and intricate design from royal families in Southeast Asia to the rest of the Western World. One thing that quickly struck me about this collection is that it is considered modest fashion, which means that the models are almost fully covered. This idea comes from certain religions and cultures in the Middle East and in India that say that women should not be allowed to show their skin when wearing clothes. What at first might sound as a hindrance to design, becomes actually a quality, since most of these designs actually end up looking really luxurious and for a more sophisticated audience. My favorite look was a black and gold floor gown with embroidered gold sleeves and a structured, laced bodice. The whole collection was really impressive, and the background and props completely transported us to another place in another time. All and all, it was a timeless collection that I could see in the frontlines of Bergdorf Goodman or Neiman Marcus in the following years.
If there is one fabric that I’m really a fan of, it must be denim, and the next collection that we were given the opportunity to see in the runway was a full denim collection. Brazilian designer Joao Foltran is what could be denominated a jeans alchemist: he can do anything with denim. It’s been 14 years since he started his own line, John John, a brand that continues to wow spectators in runway shows all around the world. This denim that Joao uses has been crafted in the finest denim mills of Italy, and are exclusively used by his own laundries. If you know anything about clothing design, then you know that working with denim is one of the hardest materials, given it’s harsh, coarse nature and it’s one-color dimension. However, Joao utilizes denim in ways you could never imagine, by overwashing them, dying them, and cutting them in different shapes and patterns, he creates pieces out of denim that look like they were made from regular, colorful fabric. He was also the first designer of the day that featured some menswear in their collections, which was good to see given that menswear is every year taking a bigger role at these type of events. My favorite look was the opening one: a dark, raw denim top coat with oversized sleeves, some bell bottom pants, and a sailor hat. This collection was probably the most marketable and ready to sell at the stores, given that denim is super popular and a lot of these pieces could be worn by teens and adults alike. There is some functionality and also an appeal to the design aesthetic, which is something that is not that easy to achieve, so props to him for taking that risk and going in that direction.
Last but not least, we had our last show of the night by The Blonds. This is a luxury apparel brand based in NYC and co-founded by designers Phillipe and David Blond. They are best known for giving their collections a glamourous, yet rebellious twist, taking inspiration from music, film, and art in general. Their collection utilized an eclectic mix of textiles, such as leather and nylon, and accessories and jewelry that focus on accentuating the human body. This included some gem-encrusted bodysuits, mini dresses and skirts embellished in crystals, and corsets and bodices adorned with spikes, sequins, and even chains. Some of the people that have worn their design include those of the likes of Madonna, Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Jennifer Lopez. I think this was my favorite collection, because even though it was easy to go costume-y, they never crossed that line. All the designs looked polished, elevated, and even expensive in many ways. My favorite was a gold mini dress with fringe and embroidery that was worn by no other than the high fashion model Paris Hilton herself. This show was a complete party and a blast and joy to experience, and it ended with a live performance of rapper Lil Kim. There was not a better way to close the show than with this golden bow! I really want to thank everyone at New York Fashion Week: The Experience for making this another unforgettable, incredible life event and for letting me and my sister witness the very best of fashion from all around the world.
As I mentioned before, this year I only attended The Shows, but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t stay for the whole week in NYC to do other fashion-related, and art-related activities. For all of these events, I wore multiple outfits and thanks to my sister, I was able to capture different looks that all have their own background and story, so now I want to talk a little about all of my outfits during New York Fashion Week. The first look consisted of my camel topcoat from Club Monaco, with a gray sweater and some black joggers, both from Club Monaco as well. This look is the quintessential NYC look, since it was really cold outside but when you walk inside of a building, the temperature difference is huge. I decided to pair this outfit with my pink sneakers from Vans to give it all a more playful vibe, and we shot these pictures in the beautiful, snowy grounds of Central Park. From here you can see some of New York most iconic buildings, like the Empire State and the Hearst tower. We also walked by one of the famous tunnels that you see people running through in movies and series. It was one of my favorite looks of the whole week just because of its simplicity and also it’s versatility.
For the next look, I wanted to mix different prints and patterns, so I went all-in with three different patterns. The first pattern is a red, black, and white horizontally-striped sweater from Topman. This sweater is the same that I wore to The Shows, but this time I wanted to give it a different vibe so I paired it with some vertical striped chino joggers from Topman. Finally, the third pattern is a tartan blue, red, and white scarf from Club Monaco, and I wore a red varsity jacket with a C on it, also from Club Monaco. Something that I really liked about this look is how, even though the patterns are all different, there is a color symphony that I was going for with the blues, reds, blacks, and whites in different arrangements. This gave the outfit cohesion, and also helped pull everything together. I wore this outfit to the Whitney Museum of American Art, where we were able to see the largest Andy Warhol art collection in the United States. This was a great opportunity to visit a museum that I hadn’t been to, and after the visit, we were right outside the famous High Line park in the Chelsea neighborhood. This park was built on top of an abandoned street and train tracks, and it offers some amazing views of the Hudson Bay and the Meatpacking District.
The second-to-last day, we went to Brooklyn, an up-and-coming area in New York City that has become one of my favorite places to just take a stroll in and walk around. We saw signature NYC sites such as Dumbo and the Brooklyn Bridge Park, and were able to take a train to another area that I hadn’t been at all in all of my visits: Coney Island. For my adventure in Brooklyn, I went for a more hipster, urban look comprised of a tan striped shirt from Topman and a pair of brown slacks from J. Crew. On top of this look, I wore a bomber jacket from Topman as well, since it wasn’t that cold that day (in fact, we got all the way up to the mid-50s that afternoon). I also complimented that look with a pair of sunglasses by TOM FORD, one of my favorite designers and this is my first article that I own from any of his collections (I still dream about someday getting a TOM FORD suit though). The look was clean and polished, and I think it contrasted really well with the big brick buildings and warehouses that make up the Brooklyn Bridge area.
Finally, we have the last day look, which is inspired by consumer culture and the post-World War 2 era. This look is a little bit more “out there” than what I usually wear, but I wanted to do a street fashion look that would have a little backstory and also have a little fun with the outfit. Here I’m wearing a pair of pants from the Jeremy Scott H&M collaboration which features a bunch of CDs and a bright disco jacket from Topman. The idea here was to represent the Disco era of the 1970s, but bringing it to the 1990s with the CDs and the athletic type of clothing, since the 90s are really popular nowadays. Then the military jacket, which is from Barneys NYC, is an ode to that Yves Saint Laurent collection from the 1970s, but also brought to the present with a little twist from the green leaves and olive tones, which helps bring the whole look to a different level. Finally for the shoe I just wore my Adidas black suede sneakers, to complete the athletic vibe. What do you folks think? Which one of the four looks was your favorite? Well my friends that’s going to be it for today. Once again I want to give a big shoutout to everyone at New York Fashion Week: The Experience for making this an incredible trip, and to all the designers, models, make up artists, hair stylists, and everyone behind the scenes and on the runway, congratulations for making it in the big stage! Now some of my next plans are attending a few local events here in Seattle with the Seattle Gents (the Fashion and Tech panel was an utmost success and now we have an upcoming event on grooming and styling with J. Hilburn and Weldon Barber). We also have a really cool collaboration with a shoe brand that’s just getting finalized, so expect some of that content in the blog and on social media in the upcoming weeks. Then March is a relaxing month for me. I’ll spend it mostly in Seattle (except for a quick trip to Puerto Vallarta to celebrate one of my friend’s birthday) and I’ll be able to start preparing myself for the arrival of spring, even though in Seattle it doesn’t mean much (our winter and spring are basically combined). Este año, tuve la increíble oportunidad de una vez más asistir a New York Fashion Week por segunda vez en mi vida. Recordarán de mis posts del año pasado todo acerca de las pasarelas, los shows, las fiestas, los paneles y cosas relacionadas con Fashion Week. Bueno, en esta ocasión una vez más regresé a la mecca mundial de la moda para observar algunas de las colecciones más nuevas y populares de los diseñadores más prestigiados en la industria actualmente, y una vez más, pude asistir a The Shows en los Spring Studios en Tribeca. Estuve toda la semana en la ciudad de Nueva York, pero principalmente me enfoqué en los shows de Fashion Week ya que el año pasado eso fue lo que más disfruté de todo mi viaje. De nuevo me hospedé en el hotel W en Times Square, el cual se está convirtiendo en uno de mis predilectos para quedarme en la Gran Manzana ya que tiene una gran ubicación y está muy cerca de las paradas del metro. ¡Quisiera darle las gracias una vez más al hotel W por una excelente estadía! En el día 1 de Fashion Week, fui a New York Fashion Week: The Experience, la cual, como recordarán, es una inmersión en el mundo de la moda tanto dentro como fuera de las pasarelas. En esta ocasión pude asistir junto con mi hermana y, ¡los dos pudimos disfrutar de 5 diferentes pasarelas de moda! Estoy muy contento de haber podido ver el trabajo de 5 diseñadores distintos, y continuación les describo un poco y explico algunas de mis impresiones con cada una de las colecciones, ¡así que comencemos!
Nuestro primer show del día fue Sally Lapointe, una diseñadora neoyorquina de ropa ready-to-wear para mujeres. Sally ya había sido partícipe de múltiples pasarelas a nivel mundial, y eso que lanzó su primera colección tan sólo en julio del año pasado. Rápidamente ha adquirido mucho amor de parte de las celebridades, habiendo ella vestido a Jennifer Lawrence, Michelle Obama, Emily Blunt, Kendall Jenner y Gigi Hadid, entre otras. Es por eso que cuando vi que se encontraba al principio de nuestro calendario del día, supe que íbamos a empezar con el pie derecho. La ropa de Lapointe se enfoca en la mujer contemporánea del día a día. Utiliza telas sólidas y piezas únicas para hacer que sus modelos resalten de entre la multitud. Algo que realmente me gustó de su estética de diseño es como utiliza múltiples capas para dar al look más dimensión. Estas piezas podrían ser intercambiadas entre un look y otro y este se seguiría viendo bien, lo cual habla de una colección con mucha cohesión y donde la ropa cuenta la misma historia. Mi outfit favorito comprendía un traje completo en color verde menta, con un chaleco de peluche y unos pantalones estilo cigarrillo muy delgados. En general, el sentimiento que obtuve sobre esta colección fue uno de empoderamiento a la mujer del día a día para que pueda lograr lo que quiera, y les da una plataforma para que se expresen en su versión más auténtica. Realmente me gustaron muchas de las piezas que formaron parte de esta colección.
El próximo en el horario era Christian Cowan, un aclamado y joven diseñador británico que se mudó a la ciudad de Nueva York hace tan sólo dos años, pero que ya ha conseguido hacerse de fama gracias a su estética muy singular. Christian toma la inspiración para sus diseños de la música, lo cual significa que quiere que emprendas un viaje cuando veas su ropa. También es de la idea de que el mundo real y la vida cotidiana debieran de separarse por completo de hacer arte, ya que el arte debe ser un escape; quiere iluminarte el día por medio de sus diseños. Realmente pude apreciar este sentimiento de júbilo y escapismo a través de la colección de Christian. Primero que nada, utilizó colores fuertes y neones en todos sus diseños, desde amarillos, a verdes, a fuchsias, la colección entera era un arco iris en color neón. Después tenemos los sombreros, los cuales se encontraban presentes en cada uno de los looks. Estos sombreros ayudaron a dar cohesión a la colección, pero además son un elemento divertido más en el cual el espectador puede poner atención. Mi look favorito fue una camisa de botones en color amarillo que después se transformaba en un vestido. Me parece increíble cuando los diseñadores piensan fuera de lo establecido y nos dan algo fresco e inesperado, algo similar a lo que ocurrió el año pasado con la colección espacial de Jeremy Scott. Me divertí mucho viendo esta colección y, la cereza encima del pastel fue el poder conocer a Milk y a Aquaria, dos drag queens de RuPaul’s Drag Race, que estaban sentidas frente a nosotros junto a la pasarela.
La siguiente colección que tuvimos el privilegio de observar fue la de Naeem Khan. Khan es uno de los nombres más reconocidos en el mundo de la moda; algunos de sus fans incluyen a Beyoncé, Penélope Cruz, Jennifer López y a la reina Noor de Jordania y, sus diseños han figurado en películas como Sex and the City y Dreamgirls. Su lujosa línea homónima Naeem Khan consiste de vestidos de gala muy sofisticados e impecablemente construidos, todos con detalles cosidos a mano. Khan nació en la India y, rodeado de tan colorida y hermosa cultura, trajo un poco de ese misticismo y del diseño intricado de las familias reales del sureste de Asia al resto del mundo occidental. Una cosa que realmente me impactó de está colección es que esta forma parte de lo que se considera moda modesta, lo cual significa que las modelos están casi en su totalidad cubiertas por ropa. Esta idea surge de ciertas religiones y culturas en el Medio Oriente y en India que dicen que la mujer no debe mostrar su piel cuando se pone algo de ropa. Lo que inicialmente pareciera un inhibidor para el diseño, en realidad lo que logra es ser una cualidad, ya que muchos de estos diseños terminan viéndose extremadamente lujosos y para una audiencia más sofisticada. Mi look favorito fue el de un vestido largo de noche negro con estampado en dorado con mangas en tonos dorados y un corset estructurado y ajustado. La colección completa me impresionó mucho, y tanto el fondo como la música nos transportaron completamente a otro lugar en otra época. Ya viendo todo, fue una colección que no está atenida por el tiempo y que pudiera ver en los aparadores de Bergdorf Goodman o Neiman Marcus en los años a seguir.
Si existe una tela de la que realmente soy un fan es sin duda la mezclilla y, la siguiente colección que tuvimos la oportunidad de presenciar en la pasarela fue una colección hecha completamente en mezclilla. El diseñador brasileño Joao Foltran es lo que algunos denominan un alquimista de la mezclilla: puede hacer lo que quiera con este material. Han pasado ya 14 años desde que comenzó su propia línea de ropa, John John, una marca que hoy en día continúa sorprendiendo a espectadores en shows de moda por todo el mundo. La mezclilla que Joao utiliza ha sido creada en las más finas fábricas de mezclilla en Italia y, son exclusivamente utilizadas por sus lavanderías. Si sabes lo mínimo sobre diseño de modas, entonces sabrás que trabajar con la mezclilla es una de las labores más arduas ya que es un material muy rígido y monocromático. Sin embargo, Joao utiliza la mezclilla en formas que jamás imaginarías, las lava una y otra vez, las pinta, y las corta en diferentes formas y patrones, para crear piezas de mezclilla que parece que estuvieran hechas con cualquier tela común y corriente y colorida. Él también fue el primer diseñador que vimos en el día que incluyó algo de moda masculina en su colección, lo cual es grato ver ya que la moda masculina cada vez está tomando un rol más grande en este tipo de eventos. Mi look favorito fue con el que abrió el show: una gabardina larga hecha en mezclilla cruda con mangas extremadamente largas, unos pantalones acampanados y un sobrero de marinero. Esta colección fue probablemente la más fácil de vender en el mercado y lista para poner en las tiendas, dado que la mezclilla es súper popular y que muchas de estas piezas podrían ser utilizadas tanto por jóvenes como adultos. Hay algo muy atractivo en la funcionalidad y además en el diseño de estas piezas, lo cual no siempre es fácil de obtener, así que felicidades a Joao por haber tomado ese riesgo y haberse mantenido en esa misma dirección.
Por último, tuvimos el show que cerró la noche con The Blonds. Esta marca de aparadores lujosa basada en Nueva York fue fundada por Phillipe y David Blond. Son altamente reconocidos por dar a sus colecciones ese toque glamuroso, aunque rebelde, tomando inspiración de tanto música, como el cine, y el arte en general. Su colección utiliza una mezcla algo ecléctica de textiles, como son el cuero y el nylon, y unos accesorios y joyería que acentúan el cuerpo humano. Esto incluye unos leotardos incrustados con piedras y joyas, vestidos y faldas cortas engalanados con cristales y, corsets y armaduras adornadas con picos, lentejuelas e inclusive cadenas. Algunas de las personas que han vestido estos diseños incluyen artistas de la talla de Madonna, Katy Perry, Rihanna y Jennifer López. Creo que esta fue mi colección favorita, ya que aunque era sencillo verse como disfraces, nunca cruzaron esa línea. Todos los diseños se veían bien pulidos, elevados, hasta podría decir que caros. Mi favorito fue un vestido corto en color dorado con tiritas y empedrado, que traía puesto ni más ni menos que la mismísima supermodelo Paris Hilton. Este show fue una fiesta y toda una celebración y dicha de experimentar, y concluyó con un performance en vivo de la rapera Lil Kim. ¡No había mejor forma de terminar el show que con este moño de oro! Realmente quisiera agradecer a todos en New York Fashion Week: The Experience por haber hecho de este un evento de vida inolvidable e increíble y por habernos permitido a mi hermana y a mí ser testigos de lo mejor de la moda a nivel mundial.
Como les mencionaba anteriormente, este año sólo fui a The Shows, pero eso no significa que no me haya quedado toda la semana en Nueva York para hacer otras actividades relacionadas con arte y con la moda. Para todos estos eventos, me puse diferentes atuendos que gracias a mi hermana pude capturar en fotografía, así que ahora, quisiera hablar acerca de mis diferentes outfits durante New York Fashion Week. El primer look consiste en mi abrigo en color camello de Club Mónaco con un suéter en color gris y unos joggers negros, los dos de Club Mónaco también. Este look es esencialmente neoyorquino, ya que hacía muchísimo frío afuera pero cuando uno entraba a un edificio la diferencia en temperaturas era enorme. Decidí ponerme este outfit con mis tennis en color rosa Vans para darle una vibra un poco más juguetona y tomamos estas fotos en los hermosos jardines nevados de Central Park. Desde aquí se pueden ver algunos de los edificios más icónicos de Nueva York como son el Empire State y la torre Hearst. También caminamos por uno de esos famosos túneles por donde corre la gente en películas y en series de television. Fue uno de mis looks predilectos de toda la semana sólo por su simplicidad y versatilidad.
Para el siguiente atuendo, quería mezclar distintos patrones y estampados, así que me fui all-in con tres patrones distintos. El primer patrón es un suéter de rayas horizontales en colores rojo, blanco y negro de Topman. Este suéter es el mismo que me puse para The Shows, pero esta vez quería darle un uso distinto así que lo conjunté con unos joggers tipo chinos con rayas verticales también de Topman. Finalmente, el tercer patrón es un tartán en color azul, rojo y blanco de una bufanda de Club Mónaco y, sobre estos me puse una chamarra de universitario en color rojo con una C grande, también de Club Mónaco. Algo que realmente me gustó de este look es que, aunque todos los patrones son diferentes, hay una sinfonía en los colores gracias al azul, el rojo, el blanco y el negro en los diferentes arreglos. Esto le dio al outfit cohesión y ayudó a que todo tuviera un hilo conductual. Me puse este atuendo para asistir al Whitney Museum of American Art, lugar donde vimos la colección más grande de arte de Andy Warhol en los Estados Unidos. Esta fue una excelente oportunidad para visitar un museo al que nunca había ido anteriormente y, tras la visita, nos encontrábamos justo afuera de donde comenzaba el parque High Line en el vecindario de Chelsea. Este parque fue construido sobre una calle y vías del metro abandonadas y ofrece unas de las mejores vistas de la bahía del Hudson y del Meatpacking District.
En nuestro penúltimo día, fuimos a Brooklyn, un área de Nueva York que recientemente ha crecido muchísimo y que se ha convertido en una de mis zonas preferidas para caminar y pasear por la ciudad. Vimos algunos lugares insignia de NYC como son Dumbo y el Brooklyn Bridge Park, y pudimos tomar el subterráneo a otro lugar que nunca había visitado previamente: Coney Island. Para mi aventura en Brooklyn, quise irme por un look más hipster y urbano, que consistió en una camisa de rayas en color café claro y morado de Topman junto con unos pantalones cafés de J. Crew. Sobre este look me puse además una chamarra de bombardero de Topman ya que ese día no hacía tanto frío (de hecho, llegamos casi a los 15 grados esa tarde). Además, complementé este atuendo con un par de lentes de sol de TOM FORD, uno de mis diseñadores favoritos y este es el primer artículo que poseo de cualquiera de sus colecciones (aún sueño con algún día tener un traje TOM FORD de todas formas). El look era simple y estaba bien pulido, así que creo que contrastó muy bien con los edificios de ladrillos y las bodegas que conforman el área alrededor del puente de Brooklyn.
Por último, tenemos el look del día final, el cual está inspirado en la cultura de consumidor y en la era posterior a la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Este atuendo está un poco más llamativo que lo que suelo vestir, pero quería ponerme un look de la calle y que además tuviera un poco de historia detrás, además de que fue muy divertido vestirlo. Me encuentro aquí con un par de pantalones de la colaboración de Jeremy Scott con H&M que tiene un estampado de discos compactos y una chamarra Disco muy colorida de Topman. La idea aquí era representar la era Disco de los 1970s pero trayéndola a los 1990s con los discos compactos y con la ropa de estilo deportivo, ya que los 90s se encuentran muy de moda. La chamarra militar, la cual es de Barneys NYC, es una oda a la colección de Yves Saint Laurent de los 70s, pero también traída al presente con un pequeño twist gracias a las plantas y los tonos en color verde olivo, lo cual ayuda a que el outfit se eleve a otro nivel. Finalmente para el calzado me puse mis tennis Adidas en color negro, para completar esa vibra atlética. ¿Qué opinan? ¿Cuál de estos looks fue su favorito? Quisiera una vez más agradecer a mi hermana por tomar estas fotos en el hermoso barrio de Tribeca, en una de las calles más conocidas y fotografiadas de NYC, Staple Street.
Bueno mis lectores, eso va a ser todo por hoy. Una vez más quisiera agradecer a todos en New York Fashion Week: The Experience por hacer de este un viaje inolvidable y a todos los diseñadores, modelos, maquillistas, estilistas y personas detrás de cámaras y en las pasarelas, ¡felicidades por haber llegado al más grande de los escenarios! Ahora algunos de mis próximos planes serán asistir a algunos eventos locales aquí en Seattle con los Seattle Gents (el panel de Tecnología y Moda fue todo un éxito y ahora tenemos en puerta un evento sobre cuidado personal y estilo con J. Hilburn y Weldon Barber). También tenemos una colaboración muy emocionante con una marca de zapatos que está por concretarse, así que esperen mucho de ese contenido y más en el blog y en redes sociales en las próximas semanas. Luego marzo será un mes bastante relajante para mí. La pasaré principalmente en Seattle (a excepción de un corto viaje a Puerto Vallarta para celebrar el cumpleaños de un amigo) y voy a poder empezar a prepararme para la llegada de la primavera, aunque en Seattle eso no significa mucho (nuestra primavera e invierno son básicamente lo mismo).
