The Camel Coat (Black Friday Shopping)

Hello my friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving next to your loved ones, whether it’s family, friends, or even by yourself, because you’re the first and most important person that you should love. I for once couldn’t have a better time in Central California but I must say that it feels good to be back home, ready to finish off this year with a bang and to start preparing myself for the Holiday season. Before I start this post, I want to thank you all for your great response on my last post. As you know, blogging is not my full time job but it means a lot to me that you all recognize all the effort I have put through these two years. It has been an amazing experience and I can’t wait to see what’s coming for Geek Q during it’s third year. Of course, none of this would be possible without you, so thank you very much for your support and your love. That’s another thing I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving, besides my family, friends, job, and health.

For those that you know me well, you know that Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) is one of my favorite days during the whole year. For two years I have shown you what I bought on Black Friday and the amazing deals I have found. This year, however, I was in Napa during Black Friday, so I didn’t get the chance to do some shopping on the morning after Turkey Day. I did have a chance though, to do some wine tasting for the first time (and of course snap some blog pics while at it) so keep posted next week for me to share some of that experience with you. However, most shops (at least the boutiques) start their Thanksgiving deals earlier, and that’s how I was able to snap on a really good deal on a camel coat. I’ve been wanting one of these forever, and after seeing every blogger in the world portray it on their blogs during the fall season, it was finally my time to get one and join the camel coat movement.

The outfit I’m presenting today showcases, no surprise here, the camel coat I bought on a really good deal from Club Monaco on Black Friday shopping. My friends, this coat is the utmost delicacy in terms of clothing, definitely a statement piece, and is made up of complete boyfriend material. The wool outer cover is as soft as it can get, and the lining and button details are really impressive. My favorite feature is how small the collar is, which allows you to pop it up for an even edgier look. I decided to wear a very dapper outfit to the wedding I was attending in the East Bay area in San Francisco, comprised mainly of my navy blue 3-piece suit from EXPRESS. The shirt I’m wearing is a white oxford shirt from Zara, and for the accessories, I went for a black tie from J. Crew and my tie bar from the company with the same name. For the shoes, I opted to wear my Calvin Klein black shoes, and finally, the camel coat from Club Monaco tops the whole look. What do you think? Are you ready to jump on the camel coat wagon? I found the most amazing deals online this year on the now-famous Monday after Thanksgiving. I’d recommend you give it a try sometime, there are some amazing discounts in most major shops and I was able to snap a few other pieces which I’ll share in future posts (my clothes are still on their way). ¡Hola amigos míos! Espero que hayan tenido un Día de Acción de Gracias maravilloso junto a sus seres queridos, sean estos familiaries, amigos o inclusive ustedes mismos, ya que tú mismo eres la primera persona y la más importante que debes amar. Yo por mi parte no puedo quejarme, puesto que me la pase increíblemente bien en mi viaje al centro de California, aunque debo admitir que se siente bien regresar a casa listo para terminar el año con broche de oro y empezar a prepararme para las fiestas decembrinas. Antes de empezar el post de hoy quisiera agradacerles a todos por su reacción ante mi último post. Como ustedes saben, el hacer blogging no es mi trabajo de tiempo completo pero significa mucho para mí que ustedes reconozcan todo el esfuerzo que le he empeñado en estos pasados dos años. Ha sido una experiencia inolvidable y no puedo esperar por ver lo que le espera a Geek Q en su tercer año. Por supuesto, nada de esto sería posible sin su apoyo, así que muchas gracias por su cariño y por sus palabras. Esa es una cosa más por la que estoy agradecido en este Día de Acción de Gracias, además de mi familia, amigos, trabajo y salud.

Para aquellos que me conocen bien, ustedes saben que el Viernes Negro (el día después de Acción de Gracias) es uno de mis días favoritos del año entero. Por dos años les he compartido mis compras de Viernes Negro y los increíbles descuentos que he encontrado en esa fecha. Este año, sin embargo, me encontraba en Napa durante el Viernes Negro, así que no tuve la oportunidad de ir de compras la mañana siguiente después del Día del Pavo. Sí tuve la oportunidad, sin embargo, de hacer un poco de cata de vinos por primera vez (y por supuesto, de tomar unas fotos para el blog al hacerlo) así que manténganse al pendiente la próxima semana para que les comparta esa experiencia. No obstante, la mayoría de las tiendas (o al menos las de ropa) comienzan sus descuentos de Acción de Gracias desde mucho antes, y fue así como pude conseguir un descuento muy bueno en un abrigo color camello. He querido uno de estos desde siempre, y después de ver como todos y cada uno de los bloggers del mundo lo mostraban en sus blogs esta temporada de otoño, finalmente me tocó el turno de hacerme de uno y unirme al movimiento de abrigos color camello.

El atuendo que les muestro el día de hoy tiene como pieza insignia, ninguna sorpresa aquí, el abrigo color camello que conseguí en una muy buena oferta en Club Monaco con fines de Viernes Negro. Amigos míos, este abrigo es toda una delicia en términos de ropa, definitivamente es una pieza insignia para cualquier ensamble y está hecho de puro material de novio. La capa exterior de lana es tan suave como puede llegar a ser una tela y, el forro interior y los detalles en los botones son muy impresionantes. Mi característica favorita, sin embargo, es lo delgado que es el cuello, lo cual permite que puedas levantarlo para verte aún más juvenil. Decidí ponerme un outfit muy elegante para la boda a la que fui en la bahía este de San Francisco, que comprendía principalmente de mi traje de tres piezas de EXPRESS. La camisa que estoy vistiendo es una camisa blanca de Zara y, para los accesorios, me fui por una corbata negra de J. Crew y mi pisacorbatas de Tie Bar. Para los zapatos, opté por mis zapatos de vestir negros Calvin Klein y finalmente, el abrigo color camello de Club Monaco acentúa el look. ¿Qué opinan al respecto? ¿Están listos para subirste al camioncito de los abrigos de camello? Quisiera agradecer a mi amigo Matt, a quien conocí en la boda, por tomar estas fotos en el bello parque donde la boda tuvo lugar.

Otra cosa que hice de forma diferente este año, y que no había intentado aún, fue comprar cosas en Cyber Monday. Encontré los más increíbles descuentos en línea este año en el famoso lunes después del Día de Gracias. Les recomiendo ampliamente probarlo pronto, ya que hay muchos descuentos muy buenos en la mayoría de las tiendas de ropa y pude comprar algunas cosas que les mostraré en futuros posts (mi ropa aún está en camino).
