A Ten out of Ten

Hello my wonderful readers! I’m really glad to share with you that today is a very important day for me and for my career, because today we launched Windows 10. Finally the most-expected day of the year for all of us in the Windows team has arrived, and with it millions of people are already downloading and upgrading to the latest version of the most popular operating system in the world in more than 190 countries. Personally, my impact was in the Universal Windows App platform, which enables developers to run their applications written only once and targeting a single platform in all the broad spectrum of Windows 10 devices (from desktop to mobile, Xbox One, HoloLens, and more). I don’t write that often about work here on my blog, but since today is such a big milestone I decided to share this with you. I would also encourage all of you to upgrade your devices and give it a try, I promise you won’t regret it (many reviews are already calling this release the best Windows ever, so you don’t want to miss on it).

Okay enough of work! Now to fashion! As I already told you in a previous post, this summer I’ve been inclined towards a more subtle, lighter color palette in much of my outfits. I’m a firm believer of the “less is more” philosophy, and today is not an exception. Down below you see me sporting a very casual, kind of preppy look which would work perfectly for any outdoor activities. I paired up a very simple white button-down with short sleeves and a soft pattern, with some light-yellow Bermuda shorts, which also have a pattern, even though it’s a bit harder to notice. I complimented this look with my favorite leather belt, which just gives a nice touch of sophistication, and I put on some Toms to complete the look. What’s your say on this? Is this a ten out of ten? Big shout out goes to my roommate for taking these in the beautiful trails and trees in the vicinity of the city.

I’m also really excited because this weekend I’m going to Vancouver, BC to see Taylor Swift in concert. I’ve seen some of the footage of this tour from her concerts in other cities and it looks like it’s going to be a total blast! I’m also looking forward to the appearance of a guest artist, since she’s been doing that for a while and she has a lot of famous friends. ¡Hola mis queridos lectores! Estoy muy complacido en compartir con ustedes que hoy es un día muy importante para mí y para mi carrera, ya que hoy hemos lanzado Windows 10. Finalmente el día más esperado del año para cualquier miembro del equipo de Windows ha llegado, y con él, millones de personas se encuentran ya bajando y actualizándose a la nueva versión del sistema operativo más popular del mundo en más de 190 países. Pueden aprender más acerca de los cambios que vienen con este release y sobre los nuevos features que el equipo de Windows ha implementado directamente del jefe del jefe del jefe del jefe de mi jefe Terry Myerson en este link.

Personalmente, mi impacto está en la plataforma de Universal Windows Apps, la cual permite que los desarrolladores corran sus aplicaciones, escritas una sola vez y con una plataforma en mente, en toda la amplia gama de dispositivos con Windows 10 (desde las computadoras de escritorio a móvil, Xbox One, HoloLens y demás). No escribo tan seguido sobre mi trabajo aquí en el blog, pero como hoy se llegó a una meta tan importante decidí compartírselos aquí. Quisiera invitarlos a que actualicen sus dispositivos y lo prueben, les prometo que no se van a arrepentir (muchos de los reviews ya lo están llamando el mejor Windows de la historia, así que no se lo pueden perder).

Ahora sí, ¡suficiente de trabajo y volvamos a la moda! Como ya les venía platicando en otro post, este verano me he inclinado a vestir una paleta de colores mucho más sutil. Soy un fuerte creyente de la filosofía de “más es mejor” y esto aplica también a los colores así que hoy no es la excepción. Aquí me pueden ver portando un look un tanto casual, universitario, que funcionaría para cualquier día con actividades en el exterior. Decidí ponerme una simple camisa de botones de manga corta con un patrón bastante ligero, con unas bermudas color amarillo claro que también tienen un patrón, sólo que este es un poco más difícil de notar. Complementé esto con mi cinturón de piel favorito, lo cual le da un toque sofisticado, y me puse mis Toms para completar el look. ¿Cuál es el veredicto? ¿Es para ustedes esto un diez de diez? Mando fuertes saludos a mi roommate por haber tomado estas fotos en las hermosas veredas y los árboles en las cercanías de la ciudad.

¡Eso es todo por hoy! Espero que hayan disfrutado este post y este outfit y que todos estén teniendo un verano genial, del cual ya vamos a casi la mitad del camino por cierto. También les he comentado en posts anteriores que vienen dos colaboraciones muy importantes, que sí van a llegar, a Geek Q, así que sólo les pido un poco de paciencia y les prometo que no se van a decepcionar. También estoy muy emocionado porque este fin de semana iré a Vancouver, BC para ir al concierto de Taylor Swift. He visto algunas imágenes y videos de este tour en otras ciudades y se ve que va a estar increíble. También espero que aparezca un artista invitado, dado que ella ha estado haciendo esto en varios lugares y conoce a muchos famosos. Ya les contaré que tal me fue la próxima semana. Recuerden vestirse siempre a la moda y dejar que los demás escuchen su voz por la forma en la que visten. ¡Hasta la próxima!
