Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day (Wednesdays are the hump of the work week). I hope each and everyone of you is having a great week so far and that you’ve been putting some of my advice to work! This weekend was a hell of an emotional roller coaster (for those of you that don’t know I’m a HUGE Seahawks fan and I’m still recovering after our Super Bowl loss). We have a very young and incredibly talented group of guys though so I’m sure we’ll be knocking on those doors once again in no time. Today I’m feeling a bit better already, and actually I just noticed that the outfit I’m about to describe is blue and green (the Seahawks colors!) so there goes a homage to them.
The other day I had the pleasure of meeting with my awesomest blogger friend Kim and as always our conversation was full of silly comments, nice anecdotes about our travels, and of course really cool outfit pictures. For this reunion I decided to wear a military-inspired look with three key pieces: the military green jacket, camouflage pants, and combat boots. This winter, military (or olive) green has been one of my favorite colors to wear. You’ve seen it in my joggers a few times, and now there’s this jacket I found in H&M which to me was a bargain (it was less than $50 on Black Friday and was super useful in NYC). The faux-wool makes some nice detailing in the hood and it’s perfect for colder days, besides being water-proof. To add a pop of color I decided to pair this jacket with a bright blue sweater, and ta-da! We got a fresh, true PNW outfit here. Couple that with the beautiful green colors of my Emerald City and you have a great outfit to go hiking or camping here in Upper Left USA. What’s your take on it? That’s it for the day guys. Next week is my last weekend here in Seattle before my trip to Boston with Kim and I’m super excited. We are already planning to work out while being there (some yoga and running will be good for us) and I can’t wait to see the places where we go eat because she knows the city pretty well. ¡Hola a todos! Feliz miércoles tengan todos ustedes. Espero que en lo que va de la semana se la estén pasando muy bien y que todos estén poniendo mis consejos a la práctica. Este fin de semana pasé por una montaña rusa de emociones (para los que no saben soy un gran fan de los Seahawks y aún me estoy recuperando de la dolorosa derrota en el Súper Bowl). Sin embargo, tenemos un equipo joven e increíblemente talentoso entonces no me queda duda de que llegaremos a esas grandes instancias muy pronto una vez más. Por lo pronto ya empiezo a sentirme un poco mejor conforme pasan los días, y de hecho, estoy notando que el look que estoy por describirles es azul y verde (¡los colores de los Seahawks!) así que el post de hoy va dedicado a ellos.
El otro día tuve el placer de reunirme con mi mejor amiga blogger Kim y como es costumbre, nuestra conversación estuvo llena de comentarios graciosos, anécdotas sobre nuestros viajes y sobre todo, fotografías de outfits muy interesantes. Para esta reunión decidí vestirme estilo militar con tres piezas clave: la chamarra verde militar, pantalones de camuflaje y botas de combate. En este invierno el verde militar (u olivo) ha sido uno de mis colores favoritos para vestir. Lo han visto ya en mis joggers y ahora en esta chamarra de H&M que la verdad fue una ganga (menos de $50 en Viernes Negro y me sirvió bastante en NYC). La lana falsa le da unos buenos detalles a la gorra y es perfecta para días mas fríos, además de ser a prueba de lluvia. Para agregar un poco de color, combiné esta chamarra con un suéter azul fuerte, ¡y ta-da! Tenemos un outfit perfecto y balanceado para el Pacífico Noroeste. Súmenle a ello los hermosos colores de mi Ciudad Esmeralda y obtenemos un look que sirve para ir de camping o hiking en esta región. ¿Qué les parece? ¿Les gusta el estilo militar?
Es todo por hoy chicos. La siguiente semana es mi último fin aquí en Seattle antes de partir a Boston con Kim y estoy súper emocionado. Ya estamos planeando hacer ejercicio mientras estemos allá (queremos hacer un poco de yoga y salir a correr, eso nos hará bien) y no puedo esperar para ver a dónde me va a llevar a comer porque ella conoce bien la ciudad. De hecho, Kim escribió un post sobre restaurantes en Boston, lo pueden checar aquí y díganme si no estarían tan emocionados como yo por probar todo eso.
