Urban Style x Jeremiah Clothing

Hi everyone! I hope every one of you is having a great week so far and that all your week goals are getting achieved, even if it’s a little by little. This has been a very busy week for me. As I mentioned in my last post, I have been trimming my closet recently and the main reason is that I’m moving this weekend. I’m going to the Madison Valley, which is not too far from where I currently live (like 6 minutes by car) although I’m technically leaving Capitol Hill. I’ve been living on the Hill for 4 years already, and even though I’m excited about trying a different environment I’ve grown pretty fond of what’s considered to be one of the hippest neighborhoods in the US. That’s why today I decided to pay a homage to this beautiful part of Seattle, and I’m really happy to present my first collaboration as well, with Jeremiah Clothing.

I was contacted by this brand on my Instagram a few weeks ago, where they offered me the opportunity to collaborate with them. I must say, I was a bit hesitant about collaborations at the beginning, since my blog is something that I feel very close to and it’s my personal style, my point of view. However, the moment I saw their catalog I really felt that this aesthetic goes quite well with my style, and I fell in love with it. They have a very casual, urban look to most of their clothes, which is something I can relate to since I love the city. But the thing that caught my eye the most about their collection is that they have a washed finish to their clothes which just gives everything a vintage vibe. Plus, they are really comfortable to wear and the fabrics are really solid.

Let’s take for instance, this three-piece outfit which I’m showing in several parts of Capitol Hill. I really had been looking for a nice vest over the past few weeks, and this one in particular caught my eye. It’s double-sided, which is amazing since you have two totally different looks just by wearing it the other way out. I paired this with a simple, short-sleeve button down, which you can never have too many especially for the summer. This shirt also has the nice vintage wash I was talking about, and the color is very subtle. The third piece is the blue cargo pant, which actually already looks very similar to some of the pants I have in my closet. This one has a shiny, metallic look to it and I’m really digging it. I complemented this look with my Sperry’s and that’s it, a complete outfit perfect for the urban dweller. What do you guys think? Are you loving this as much as I do? I think I’ve never done a post as extensive as this (both in text and pictures) but I really wanted my last post as a Capitol Hill resident to be something special, and this was a perfect match for clothes from Jeremiah Clothing. Hopefully this is the first of many more collaborations to come in the future here on Geek Q. Next week I’ll be writing from my new home! I’ll show you some pics really soon, it has an amazing rooftop view of Lake Washington and Mount Rainier when it’s not that cloudy. ¡Hola a todos! Espero que cada uno de ustedes esté teniendo una excelente semana y que todas sus metas semanales se estén cumpliendo, aunque sea poquito a poquito. Esta ha sido una semana bastante ajetreada para mí. Como les mencioné en mi post pasado, he estado reduciendo el tamaño de mi clóset últimamente y la principal razón por la que lo estoy haciendo es que me mudaré este fin de semana. Me mudo a Madison Valley, que no está muy lejos de donde vivo actualmente (como a 6 minutos manejando) pero si me hace dejar técnicamente a Capitol Hill. He vivido en este lugar por poco más de 4 años, y aunque estoy muy emocionado por probar un ambiente distinito, siempre tendré un lugar en mi corazón para el que es considerado uno de los barrios más hip de Estados Unidos. Es por eso que hoy he decidido hacerle un homenaje a esta hermosa parte de Seattle, y estoy muy contento en presentarles también mi primera colaboración con Jeremiah Clothing.

Me contactó esta marca por medio de mi Instagram hace apenas unas semanas, donde me ofrecieron la oportunidad de colaborar con ellos. Debo admitir que en un principio no estaba seguro de querer hacer colaboraciones, ya que mi blog es algo que tengo muy cercano a mí y es mi estilo personal, mi punto de vista. Sin embargo, en el momento en el que vi su catálogo realmente sentí que está estética va muy de acuerdo con mi estilo, y me enamoré de la ropa. Tienen un look bastante casual y urbano en la mayoría de sus piezas, con lo cual me puedo identificar fácilmente pues me encanta vivir en la ciudad. No obstante, lo que más cautivó mi atención acerca de su colección es que toda la ropa tiene un acabado deslavado que le da un tono vintage. Además, es ropa muy cómoda de usar y la tela es de muy buena calidad.

Tomemos, por ejemplo, este ejemplar de tres piezas que les estoy mostrando en varias zonas de Capitol Hill. Tenía tiempo ya buscando un chaleco que me gustara en estas últimas semanas, y este en particular cautivó mi atención. Es de dos vistas, lo cual está súper bien ya que tienes dos looks completamente distinitos simplemente vistiendo el chaleco por el otro lado. Combiné este con una camisa muy sencilla de manga corta, las cuales nunca están de más sobre todo en época de verano. Esta camisa también tiene el deslavado vintage del que les venía platicando, y el color es bastante sutil. La tercera pieza son estos pantalones cargo azules, los cuales ya se parecen a algunos pantalones que tengo en mi armario. Estos, sin embargo, tienen un acabado metálico brilloso que me está gustando bastante. Complementé este atuendo con mis zapatos Sperry y listo, aquí tienen un outfit perfecto para alguien que vive en la ciudad. ¿Qué opinan chicos? ¿Les gusta tanto como a mí? Quiero agradecerle a mi roommate Carlos por haber tomado estas fotografías. Su ayuda fue vital para realizar esta colaboración. Algunos de los lugares que se muestran en las imágenes son el Arborétum y el Jardín Japonés, el parque Cal Anderson, paredes de ladrillo en la calle Broadway y arte callejero en Denny.

Esto es todo por hoy chicos. Creo que es la primera vez que hago un post tan extenso tanto en contenido de imagénes como en texto, pero realmente quería que mi última entrada en el blog como residente de Capitol Hill fuera algo especial, además de que fue la combinación perfecta con la ropa de Jeremiah Clothing. Espero que esta sea sólo la primera de muchas colaboraciones más que estén por venir a Geek Q. La próxima semana les estaré escribiendo ya desde mi nueva casa. Les espero mostrar fotos del lugar muy pronto, tiene una vista del rooftop increíble de Lake Washington y de Mount Rainier cuando no está tan nublado.
