Touch of Yellow

Hello everyone! First of all I want to THANK everyone for your support on my new Lifestyle section. I received lots of positive feedback over all of my social media, and I’m super excited about the new content that will be coming soon to that part of the blog! Today I’m back again writing on my Travel section, because as many of you know I’m still in Mexico, but this is my last week here. However I already have some great ideas for the Lifestyle section in the future, so keep posted to Geek Q and make sure you follow me on all of the social media to get the info firsthand (there’s a menu when you scroll way down with all of my social media information).

Last week was crazy busy and lots of things happened! First of all, I got the worst stomach flu I’ve had in years :(. Thursday morning I woke up with a fever and I literally couldn’t get out of bed the whole day. Hopefully my mom was around and she took care of me, and by the weekend I was good to go. I think that my stomach has become more sensitive to the food here in Mexico, so I should probably take care of what I eat more thoughtfully while being here. And then there’s the weather! My good, old, Monterrey weather, where we’ve had some really nice days and the sun came out for most of the day and some other gloomy, rainy days where it’s been a bit colder. All and all, it has been a very productive week at work though, and I already have my Visa in hand so I’m ready to go back this Sunday.

For this post, I’m wearing one of the colors that I wear the least, maybe due to the fact that I have very little pieces of that color, and that’s yellow. Don’t get me wrong, I love yellow and I think it’s one of the easiest colors to mix and match; I just don’t buy that many yellow clothes, for some unconscious reason. This whole ensamble is from J Crew, and I love the easiness and flowiness of both the shirt and the joggers. These joggers are denim! And I love me some denim, it’s just so comfortable and so easy to work with. I paired these two with my Sperry TopSider shoes and I added a bit more color with the striped socks.This combination of shirt and joggers is great for spring. In fact, I already feel it’s going to be one of my daily go-to’s since I have a lot of both. What do you think? Do you like the touch of yellow here?

I also want to thank you, my readers, as always for checking out my blog and for commenting here and in social media. I’ve had the best of times in Monterrey seeing my friends and family but it’s time to go back to Seattle, so next week I’ll be writing to you guys from home and I have a very nice surprise waiting for you all. ¡Hola a todos! Primero que nada quiero darle las GRACIAS a todos por el apoyo con mi nueva sección de Vida. Recibí muy buena retroalimentación en todas las redes sociales, y estoy muy emocionado preparando nuevo contenido que próximamente se volverá parte de este blog. Hoy les escribo una vez más en mi sección de Viajar, porque como muchos ya saben aún me encuentro en México, pero ya es mi última semana aquí. Sin embargo ya tengo unas muy buenas ideas de lo que voy a subir a la sección de Vida, así que manténganse pendientes de Geek Q y asegúrense de seguirme aquí y en todas mis redes sociales para obtener la información de primera mano (hay un menú si se van a la parte de abajo de esta página con toda mi información de redes sociales).

La semana pasada estuvo de locura. Lo primero que me pasó fue que me enfermé del estómago como no me pasaba en años :(. La mañana del jueves me levanté con fiebre y literalmente no pude pararme de la cama en todo el día. Afortunadamente se encontraba aquí mi mamá para cuidarme y darme medicinas, y ya para el fin de semana me sentía mucho mejor. Creo que mi estómago se ha vuelto más sensible a la comida aquí en México, entonces probablemente para la próxima deba cuidar más lo que como cuando estoy aquí. ¡Y luego está el clima que tampoco ha ayudado! Mi viejo y amado clima extremoso de Monterrey, que nos ha dado un par de días muy bonitos donde salió el sol y estuvo cálido y otros días donde ha estado muy frío y lluvioso. A pesar de todo, ha sido una semana bastante productiva en el trabajo para mí, ya tengo mi Visa en mano y estoy listo para regresar este domingo.

Para este post, me encuentro vistiendo uno de los colores que menos uso, y que probablemente se debe al hecho de que tengo muy poquita ropa de ese color, y es el amarillo. No me tomen a mal, me encanta el color amarillo y siento que es de los tonos más fáciles de combinar; simplemente no compró mucha ropa amarilla, por alguna razón en mi inconsciente. Este outfit es de J Crew, y me encanta la facilidad y fluidez que transmiten tanto la camisa como los joggers. ¡Estos pantalones son de mezclilla! Y yo amo la mezclilla, es demasiado cómoda y es muy fácil trabajar con ella. Me puse este atuendo con mis zapatos Sperry TopSider y le agregué un poco de color con los calcetines de rayas de colores. Esta combinación de camisa con joggers es ideal para la primavera. De hecho, ya empiezo a sentir que va a ser uno de mis looks cotidianos de esta temporada, ya que tengo muchos de ambos. ¿Qué opinan? ¿Les gusta el toque de amarillo aquí?

Eso es todo por hoy chicos. Quiero agradecerle a mi hermano el haberme tomado estas fotografías en la azotea de nuestra casa en Monterrey. La vista que tenemos de ahí es increíble y nunca deja de sorprenderme. También quiero agradecerles a ustedes, mis lectores, por siempre estar al pendiende de mi blog y por dejar sus comentarios aquí y en redes sociales. Tuve un tiempo excelente en Monterrey ya que pude ver tanto a amigos como a mi familia pero ya es hora de regresar a Seattle, así que la próxima semana les estaré escribiendo desde allá y les tengo una sorpresa. Espero les guste la sorpresa, no diré más para no arruinárselas. Como siempre, recuerden vestirse a la moda y tomen muchos riesgos al hacerlo, es así cuando uno encuentra lo que a uno se le ve mejor. ¡Hasta la próxima vez!
