Spring Awakening

Hello peeps! I’m writing this post on a plane right now, on my way to Boston, and I’m super excited because this trip has finally arrived. I’m totally ready for the snow and the chilling temperatures, but mostly I’m excited because I’m going with Kim and we’re on a mission to find extra talented people for Microsoft. That doesn’t mean there’s not gonna be time for fun and stuff, and of course, the opportunity to wear some fancy cold weather outfits. With how awesome and beautiful the weather has been in Seattle I almost forgot it’s still winter! But with spring around the corner it definitely feels like spring has paid an early visit this year in the Pacific Northwest.

For this post I’m wearing my lightweight trench coat that I got from Topman and which was super useful this last fall. I never thought that I would wear this during the winter, but it ended up being more than enough on this particular day. Underneath the coat I’m just wearing a plaid button-down from Club Monaco, and I combined these with my favorite pair of skinny jeans. For the final touches I wore my brown low-cut boots and my Burberry shades. What do you think? Are you ready for spring yet? Guys, seriously look at how beautiful the city of Seattle and its surroundings are. This lake is just a couple of blocks from where I work, and it’s astounding; it leaves you breathless.

That’s all for now! I’m looking at my window right now and I can see some beautiful, snow covered caps, so I guess we’re somewhere over the Rockies. ¡Hola gente! Les escribo este post desde un avión en este momento. Voy rumbo a Boston y estoy muy emocionado ya que al fin llegó la fecha. Me encuentro listo para enfrentar la nieve y las temperaturas gélidas, pero más que nada estoy emocionado porque voy con Kim, y tenemos la misión de encontrar talento para Microsoft. Eso no significa que no vaya a haber tiempo para divertirnos y hacer otras cosas, y por supuesto, tener la oportunidad de vestir outfits de invierno muy a la moda. Con lo increíble que ha estado últimamente el clima en Seattle ya se me olvidaba que todavía estamos en invierno. Sin embargo, con la primavera ya a la vuelta de la esquina definitivamente se siente como que la primavera nos llegó un poco temprano este año en el Pacífico Noroeste.

En esta entrada me encuentro vistiendo mi gabardina ligera que compré en Topman y que me fue de gran utilidad el otoño pasado. Nunca pensé utilizar esto durante el invierno, pero terminó siendo más que suficiente en este particular día. Debajo de la gabardina, sólo estoy vistiendo una camisa de cuadros de Club Monaco, y combiné estos con mi par de skinny jeans favoritos. Para el toque final me puse mis botines cafés y mis lentes Burberry. ¿Qué les parece? ¿Ya están todos listos para la llegada de la primavera? Chicos, en serio, vean lo hermoso que son la ciudad de Seattle y sus alrededores. Este lago se encuentra a sólo unas cuadras del lugar donde trabajo y es impresionante; le quita a uno el aliento.

¡Eso es todo por hoy! Estoy viendo a través de mi ventana en este momento y veo unas hermosas montañas cubiertas de nieve, lo que me dice que estamos por algún lugar cerca de las Rocallosas.
